This morning Key Stage 2 assembled in the hall to display all the terrific hard work they have been putting in to their science fair displays.
We were treated to a huge range of scientific enquiry skills and some fascinating questioning, from the effects of deforestation to what makes the most efficient paper plane, from using a banana to charge an Apple to finding out what kinds of music make our hearts beat faster.
All of the children did an amazing job with their displays and were able to clearly explain the science learning behind their original problem or question when quizzed by the judges.
Well done to the overall winners Freya, Cayden, Daisy and Isla from Oak class, with their fascinating project on how sound can travel.
Elm class winners: Issy, Eli, Lily and Jaiden with a project on what makes an efficient paper plane
Beech class winners: Sam, Henry, Olivia and Jemima with a project on the best shape for propellers
Special thanks to Mrs Heath for her amazing hard work with the science fair!
