Today, Trinity CE Primary School marked Remembrance Day with a special service at St. Mary’s church in Acton Turville, led by Reverend Thomson. Hymns were sung, prayers and dedications to the fallen were read and the Year 6 read ‘In Flanders Fields’ for the attendees. During the service, a two minute silence was marked by the graves of those who gave their lives in both wars from the village.

The event was highly supported by many residents of the village, members of the Royal British Legion, current and ex-service personnel.

It was both moving and touching to see so many gather to remember the soldiers who paid the ultimate price for the freedoms we enjoy today.
