Year 5s had a brilliant afternoon yesterday taking part in a KNEX Challenge Competition.  Their brief was to build a house with two eco features, at least four zones and be accessible to everyone.  Everyone had a great time and came up with some very inventive and original designs.  Will, Edward and Seb came up with the winning design which featured a wind turbine to generate electricity, solar panels, an electric car and a lift to give access upstairs.  It also featured a garage and working door.  Ingenious!  Everyone enjoyed working creatively with their friends to problem-solve and adapt their designs to meet the brief.  Will, Edward and Seb now go through to the next round of the competition where they will compete against other schools from the South West.  Congratulations!
