Our Shining Stars 28.03.2025

5 April 2025 (by admin)

Our shining stars this week are:  Ellis; Lois; Preston; Sophia and Rhea.

Ellis was chosen because he has been showcasing his mathematical knowledge of length, height and numbers.  Ellis has been using his maths skills and knowledge during his play, using vocabulary e.g. long, short and tall.  Ellis ordered the dinosaurs by length and height.  He then extended his learning by counting his dinosaurs and he even added a label.  Well done Ellis!

Lois was chosen because she has been working hard to use commas in a list in her writing.  She also included some interesting adjectives in her sentences.  Well done Lois!

Preston was chosen because he has been a star in ALL of his lessons!  From Monday, he's been determined to do well, put in extra effort into his work and to show fantastic learning in every session.  He's particularly worked hard in English where he has looked to take extra notes and get as much done as possible.

Sophia was chosen because of her fantastic effort in writing, particularly in capturing the voice of a character in a dual narrative.

Rhea was chosen for a fantastic piece of work on Mary Anning, a pioneering palaeontologist and fossil collector.  Well done on your super research and organising your notes and information effectively.  This week you have also shown great resilience in your learning.  I am very proud of you.
