Our Shining Stars 25.04.2025

Chester is Willow Class' shining star this week because he is trying his hardest in Phonic and English sessions.  He is listening carefully, remembering to use previously taught skills and he is working hard on his letter formation both in school and at home which is making his writing clearer.  Chester has shown lots of perseverance and determination to write his name and letters correctly!  Keep up the wonderful writing Chester, we are really noticing a difference!

Oliver is Ash Class' shining star this week for working carefully to complete his maths.  He showed his workings for each one and completed each calculation correctly.  Well done Oliver!

Tobie is Elm Class' shining star this week.  Tobie worked really hard in Guided Reading throughout the week.  We've been looking at "The Girl who Stole an Elephant". He's set a really high standard for his answers.  He found lots of information about Chaya's actions by inferring facts from the text.  Great job Tobie, keep it up!

Augie is Beech Class' shining star this week because of his great effort and accuracy when using a protractor to measure angles accurately.

Maya is Beech Class' shining star this week for her best Big Write yet.  She created a fantastic dual voice narrative (very difficult to do), telling the story of homeless boy Shane and the stray cat he finds.  Within the piece, Maya brilliantly showed different registers of language - her descriptive writing contracting with the slang of Shane's speech.
