This week the recipient of the Shining Light Award is Maya.
She was nominated by Mr Hutton.
Maya was involved in an upsetting situation and throughout it, and afterwards, she showed forgiveness, understanding and compassion. It can be hard to show forgiveness sometimes but Maya was able to act in a mature way, and despite her own feelings she was considerate of others involved as well.
Recognition of our nominees:
Ed - Reunited another child with their misplaced jumper.
Maddie - Helped another child when they were hurt at playtime and stayed with them until lining up time.
Erin - For always being a good friend to everyone.
Ellis - For always being polite and saying thank you to those holding the door at the end of collective worship.
Henry - For helping a friend who had fallen and joining someone to play when they felt lonely.
A big well done to everyone for being noticed by others for showing great examples of our values, but an extra special well done to Maya for being this week's Shining Light.
