This week our Shining Stars are; Alicia, George, Poppy, Jonny and Dexter.
Alicia was chosen for impressing us in maths. All of Willow class have been looking at part-whole models and she did a great job at understanding it practically using hoops and beanbags, and in her book with numicon and beads – she showed great independence throughout.
George was chosen for showing great perseverance when practicing maths skills and used the correct method to land on the correct answer.
Poppy was chosen for her fantastic non-chronological report about the River Thames. She has also been working very hard on her handwriting.
Jonny was chosen for his application of modal verbs in an excellent piece of extended writing in which he created his own short story about being at the edge of a forest. It was a brilliant piece that had a great slow build up and vivid description.
Dexter was chosen for working hard in Geography. He was able to identify how the city of Bath has changed and developed by comparing maps from long ago. He presented his work beautifully and has been careful with his handwriting.
